Another Chapter
In The Forest Story
Reflecting on a season that gave us European nights, Premier League safety, four managers, and a reminder of exactly why this football club matters.
Another season done. Another chapter written in the history of Nottingham Forest. And what a season it has been.
Supporting Forest is never straightforward. It never has been. It comes with emotion, unpredictability, moments of frustration and moments that stay with you forever. Over this season alone we have experienced four different managers leading our football club, each bringing change, challenges and their own chapter to the Forest story.
But if there is one thing that never changes, it is the supporters.
Home and away. Week after week. Through every transition, every difficult spell and every unforgettable moment, Forest supporters continue to carry this club forward.Moments None Of Us Will Forget
This season gave us moments none of us will forget.
An unexpected run all the way to the Europa League semi-final felt like something many supporters thought they may never experience again. European football returned to our lives, and supporters embraced every second of it.
The City Ground under the lights on European nights reminded us exactly what makes this football club special. The anticipation walking to the ground. The floodlights. The noise building before kick-off. The scarves raised high. The moments where the City Ground felt like it was carrying the team forward itself.
The Away Days
And then there were the away days.
Supporters travelled across Europe in numbers nobody could question. Airports full of red shirts. New cities explored. Early flights, missed trains, packed squares, meeting fellow Forest fans thousands of miles from home and creating memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime.
For some supporters it was reliving memories from decades ago. For others it was experiencing European football with Forest for the very first time. That is what football gives us. Shared memories. Shared experiences. Stories that get talked about for years.
Premier League Safety Secured
And alongside those unforgettable moments came something equally important, securing our Premier League future once again.
After everything this club has fought through in recent years, maintaining our place in the Premier League matters enormously. It provides stability. It strengthens the foundations being built both on and off the pitch. Most importantly, it gives supporters the chance to continue seeing Nottingham Forest compete where we all believe this football club belongs.
Premier League survival should never be taken for granted. Every point earned. Every difficult away performance. Every big result under pressure, they all mattered. Securing safety is another important step forward in Forest's journey.
Players Becoming Leaders
On the pitch, we have seen players continue to grow into leaders and symbols of where this club is heading.
Morgan Gibbs-White continues to show exactly why supporters value him so highly. His quality, energy and personality have made him central to this Forest side. Alongside him, Elliott Anderson's development this season has been hugely encouraging. Seeing young players grow, improve and embrace what it means to play for Nottingham Forest always gives supporters optimism.
The future feels exciting.Supporter Voice Has Mattered Too
Off the pitch, supporter voice has mattered too. This season showed once again why supporter representation matters.
Many members took time to complete the Supporters Trust survey. Supporters shared views openly and honestly, and importantly those views helped shape conversations.
The resulting ticket price freezes showed that supporter feedback can make a difference.
Across the season we have also seen encouraging signs that the club is listening more to supporter sentiment. That dialogue matters. It will not always mean agreement on every issue, but supporters deserve to be heard and this season showed positive progress.
There Is Still Work To Do
We remain disappointed that recorded Q&A sessions have not been committed to. Greater accessibility and transparency matter to supporters, particularly for those unable to attend events in person.
That said, we are grateful to Nicholas Randall KC who joined our AGM and participated in an in-person Q&A session with members. Open conversation matters and we hope to see further progress in how supporters can engage moving forward.
The Biggest Moment Sits Ahead
As we look ahead, one of the biggest moments in our club's future sits directly in front of us.
The Peter Taylor Stand redevelopment and wider City Ground expansion are bigger than bricks and steel.
It is about creating a stronger, more sustainable future for our football club while protecting what makes this place special.
The planning process is moving forward and supporter voices genuinely matter. We are asking members and supporters to submit representations supporting the development plans to the planning committee, local councillors and MPs. We will be issuing separate communications on how to make your submissions.
The Bigger Picture
This season has also reminded us of the bigger picture. While we all live every result and every matchday emotion, Forest's journey over recent years has been remarkable both on and off the pitch.
The club has made huge strides in building long-term sustainability and competitiveness, while continuing to navigate the challenges of competing at the highest level. We encourage members to read our full financial commentary report for a deeper look at the club's progress and the context behind the numbers.
Every Voice Matters
Every voice matters. Every submission matters.
The Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust will continue supporting members throughout that process, because protecting the future of our home matters to all of us.
This season reminded us why football means so much.
